Double A engineering was started by Allen Gilfillan in 1984 as a small family business. Allen was a fitter and turner by trade and his wife did the admin. The kids were raised in the workshop and took a keen interest in the trade. In 2001, Brett Gilfillan went under his old man’s wing in the workshop from cleaning up after him to learning the trade. He completed his trade test in 2015 with years of practical experience.

Unfortunately, Allen passed in 2015 forcing Brett to take over full time. Brett has grown the business from being a two man shop to having eight employees since taking over. Double A engineering grows from strength to strength with it’s roots firmly in the core principles of engineering and delivering Accurate and Aesthetically pleasing work, everytime!
